L.I.H.S is a tertiary institution for young female school leavers with relevant passes in WASSCE/SSCE external examination and an interest in pursuing a career in Hospitality and Tourism. LIHS also runs other activities to impact the lives of girls. They include:
SKILLS AND ACQUISITION ENTREPRENEURIAL PROGRAMME (SAEP)
A 3- month basic course in Catering and Arts and Crafts, aimed at equipping interested ladies with entrepreneurial skills for income generation.
HOME MANAGEMENT CLASSES: The Institute offers short trainings on various aspects of hospitality to mothers and young girls in the communities.
LATTICE: The club is run by the Lagoon Institute for Hospitality Studies for secondary school girls between the ages 10 -18. Activities of the club include Mathematics, English, Leadership classes, Cookery, Bakery, Swimming, Craft, Excursions/Industrial visit.
